Kumar moved to IT consulting and was evolved in creating and implementing automation strategy for large retailers and Hospitality groups in the Gulf / Asia Region. His core strengths include understanding retail and hospitality business requirements, developing operational process and procedures, training on Retail POS operations, Supply chain, category Management and recommending focus areas in improving operational efficiency.
In 2002 Kumar co-founded Headstart FZ LLC with Mr. Premchand in the Dubai Internet City with the objective of creating an organization focused on providing leading-edge technology for Retail and Hospitality industry with associated implementation and consulting services.

His expertise encompasses Startup & Profit center Management, Strategy Consulting, Corporate Sales and Channel Management and Executive Mentoring. He is a parallel entrepreneur who has co-founded several companies in the Arabian Gulf Region focused on niche technologies

He holds an Honors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the College of Engineering Guindy in Madras.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Manipal Institute of Technology & Diploma in Marketing Management from National Institute of Sales.
